Former student visits the music department

On Thursday 16th April we were honoured to receive a visit from ex pupil Bea Ward. Bea was a keen member of our choir and annual productions but left in year 10 to live in London. She is now 17 years old and has already been on the West End in School of Rock and Bonnie & Clyde, in the first Wicked film, starred in the BBC show High Hoops and is currently touring as alternate Kim in the production of Miss Saigon. On her week break from tour Bea came in for a catch up, and spoke to pupils about her experiences so far - the highs and lows of touring, how auditions work and of course how amazing it was to work with Ariana Grande! Students asked great questions and were inspired by her story. We were also treated to a wonderful performance of her solo from Miss Saigon, full of emotion and expression which really showcases a fantastic talent. We look forward to hearing what she does next!
