Primarily this position is to support pupils whose first language is not English. However, you will also be expected to undertake duties commensurate with the job description for a higher-lever teaching assistant.

• An empathic, patient and caring approach and the ability to support children struggling with expectations and boundaries and/or academic progress;
• An understanding of the needs of children who may have social, emotional and mental health needs; and
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
