Appeals Process
The Archdiocese of Cardiff's secondary school appeal process involves an independent panel that follows strict guidelines.
How does the appeal process work?
- The panel will explain the process and introduce everyone to the hearing.
- The admission authority will explain why the application was turned down.
- You'll present your reasons why your child should be admitted.
- The panel will decide if the school's admission criteria were followed.
- The panel will decide if your reasons for admission outweigh the school's reasons for not admitting more children.
- The panel will decide to uphold or dismiss your appeal.
When will I hear the decision?
- You will usually be sent the decision within 5 school days.
