The trip to ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’
26th September 2014
Dear Parents and Carers,
The trip to ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ on Friday 3rd October is rapidly approaching. On the day of the trip, the coach will be leaving St Mary’s at 18.00 prompt. Please note that we will not be able to wait for latecomers. While we do not ask pupils to wear school uniform for this trip, we do expect a smart appearance which is appropriate to the theatre environment. The coach will return to St Mary’s at approximately 23.00; pupils will be able to telephone from the coach on the return journey should there be any significant change to this time, therefore your child is advised to bring their mobile phone. We will not be stopping in Ledbury.
When you enter the school gates to collect your child, please do not park on the drive. Please park on the tennis courts.
Pupils will be asked to turn off mobile phones once inside the theatre, not to whisper, talk or eat during the performance, and to be on their very best public behaviour. We have always received compliments on the behaviour of our pupils in the past, and hope to maintain this very high standard. Your child may also wish to bring money to purchase souvenirs or refreshments at the theatre.
We are very much looking forward to seeing the performance; it should be an interesting and enjoyable experience. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need further information or have any general questions about the trip.
