GCSE Results Day 2021
St Mary’s RC High School, Hereford is celebrating some outstanding achievements by its pupils in their GCSEs again this year.
‘We are so incredibly proud of our pupils and their achievements after what has been another year of uncertainty for our young people. They have risen to the challenge and produced some fantastic work. The excellent grades they have received today are richly deserved and will set them up for their next steps in education and training. They showed such maturity and resilience throughout the pandemic and I want to wish them every success for the future. I also want to thank our teachers and staff for the dedication and unwavering support that they gave our pupils throughout this process’.
Performances of particular merit include; Flora Altin who achieved 10 Grade 9s and 1 Grade 8, Catriona Robertson who gained 10 Grade 9s, Annija Tulinska 8 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s, Sophia Tootell and Alice Burdsall both achieved 7 Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s, Benjamin Seekings-Jenkinson 5 Grade 9s and 6 Grade 8s and Jack Summerfield 5 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, 1 Grade 7 and 1 Grade 6.
This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of teacher-assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards.
