St Mary’s Student supports Little Princess Trust
Twinkle Tomy, a Year 9 student had her hair cut short last week to donate to the Little Princess Trust. She was sponsored to do this and raised an amazing £1157. The school raised over £190 on the day and donated a further £50. The rest she has collected from family, friends, her old Primary School (SFX), her Church and Local Community. Her hair was cut by Justine Williams, who is a parent from the school and a member of the PTFA. Twinkle chose to support the Little Princess Trust after a close friend had cancer and she felt she could do nothing to help. She understands how precious your hair can be and how different it makes you feel without it.
The Little Princess Trust was launched in 2006 and has since helped thousands of girls and boys who have been suffering from cancer by giving them a wig made of real hair for the duration of their treatment. Whilst it is primarily a children’s cancer charity they also assist other children who have conditions that result in hair loss.
