PTFA

St Marys PTFA is a group of parents, staff and friends of the school who work together to help raise money and provide additional resources for the school. The group meet once a term to plan events and fundraising activities. In the past we have bought expensive items, that the school would find it difficult to pay for like a mini bus but we also pay for smaller items such as sewing machines, Duke of Edinburgh equipment and hockey kit.

In 2023 we were able to reinstate the very popular Advent Fayre. This is not only an excellent fundraising opportunity but the pupils really enjoy the opportunity to come together to raise money for their school and CAFOD.  In addition to special events such as the Advent Fayre the PTFA also provides refreshments at numerous school occasions such as concerts and school productions.

The PTFA also manage the schools preloved uniform supply. Parents donate uniform to school and we make it available to other parents to buy at a nominal cost.

All children benefit from the work of the PTFA and joining is a sociable way to get to know some of the other parents and staff. Some of our members play key roles such as Treasurer and Chair but there are many other skills that we need and are really valued. If you would like to learn more about the work of the PTFA, join one of our meetings or buy pre-loved school uniform, please contact either
