School Student Council
The St. Mary’s Student Council has been running for successfully for many years. Each year group is represented on the Council by two reps, one boy and one girl. This year pupils that wanted to be involved in the Student Council were asked to fill in an application form. The Year 11 reps then decided on the pupils that would sit on the Student Council.
The Council meet on a regular basis, every Monday lunchtime in the Caritas Centre. The agenda for each meeting is determined by issues raised by the student body and ongoing developments in the school. Apart from discussing topical concerns about the school, the Student Council is also involved in the recruitment of new staff, the evaluation of catering provision, and reviews of school facilities.
